Consider Our Ways

Haggai 1:5,6

5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Have you prayed and not felt whole? Have you fasted and prayed, yet felt no breakthrough? Have you begged God to feel your soul but yet still feel empty? We all have been at these places in life. We pray and want to grow closer to God. We want to feel his presence running through us. Yet, we struggle to be filled. We struggle to find peace. Then we look at what is holding us back. It is the one we see in the mirror. It is the way we live. It is the things that God is not pleased with. We have to consider our ways. We have to stop asking God what is holding us back and look at ourselves. Look at what we do from day to day. If there is anything that we would not want God to see. If so, then cut it out. So, before you begin praying, first consider your ways.
