The Temple

1 Corinthians 3:16-17


16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Before Christ, the temple existed. It was where the spirit of God resided. It was the holiest place. After the crucifixion we became the temple. It is made clear that our bodies should be holy. We should live a life to reflect this. A life to where people look and see that we are holy in our walk. Look at it like this. If you walked into your church and it was dirty, would you not start cleaning it up? Your body is like that church. So think about it. Is there anything that needs to be cleaned out?
