Ezra 3:10
10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
Israel had been in bondage. The temple of God had been destroyed. When they were released, they went back to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. They started with foundation. They placed the stones and made sure that they were strong enough to hold this mighty house. If they had been weak, the whole building would not withstand the smallest attack. Our foundation needs to be strong. It should be built in Christ. That makes us strong enough that when we fall under attack and we feel as if our lives are destroyed, we can rebuild. Marriages, raising children, and even your daily life should be built on the foundation of God. If he is the very one holding our lives together, then we can withstand the strongest attacks. It is and should always be our strongest point. It is the point which the enemy can never destroy. So, make God your foundation and stand strong in him.
