Now Secrets With God

Acts 5:3-4

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Ananias and his wife thought they would be able to lie and keep part of the money. They thought no one would know. Well they where wrong because the story tells us that because of thier lie they dropped dead. The thing is many believe they can do things in private and no one will ever know. God knows. He knows when you sin. You cannot hide it. These two believed they could get away with sin, but then had to pay for thier transgression. Don’t ever think you are good enough to lie to God. He knows all and sees all.
