Give All You Have

Mark 12:43-44


43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

I was driving to my parents house tonight for a dinner. The little drummer boy starting playing nine the radio and it made me think of this verse. In the song he was poor like the widow. He had nothing but his drum, so he played a his drum for the newborn King. Just like the widow he gave all he had. Most of us don’t have to worry about these problems. We have an abundance of food and have money to spare, but it goes deeper than what money you have. It is the fact God want us to give him it all. That does not just mean the good part of you. It does not mean he only wants the best of you. God wants your problems, he wants the bad side of you, and he even wants your temper. He wants all of you. The good and the bad. He wants us to give it all to him. He can then bless us and build what he needs out of us. So don’t only give God what you can spare. Give him all you have. Let him have it all. Your tempers, your depression, your hate, and even your fear. Let God have it all.
