2 Corinthians 9:7
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Today I watched a good friend of mine walk into the gym lay his bag down and go back out. There had been a family who was 5 dollars short in the grocery store next door. He ran back to his vehicle to get his wallet. When he got done he came back in the gym. Some people asked why he would do that. All he said was that it being close to Christmas and he didn’t mind to help. He acted like it was nothing but to that family it meant the world. But now look at it the other way. Christ was given to become the greatest sacrifice, but many act like it is nothing. We should remember how great of a gift His sacrifice was and try to do the same. We can give so much more than what we do from day to day. We can give money to the poor, give food to the hungry, and most of all give hope to the world by spreading the word of God. God gave us salvation through Christ, so we can give more of ourselves to his work. I watched a man pay for a families food, it turned out he paid the whole bill, and wanted nothing in return. That is how God wants us to be.
