Acts 4:13
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus
Here is something to think about. Does one have to be college educated to be a pastor? The answer is no. Jesus called two of the most unlearned men. Just look at thier professions. They where fishermen. But yet they became great ministers of his word. Now I am not saying that people who go to college to learn the Bible are wrong. They are amazing ministers as well. I have seen both types do great and horrible behind a pulpit. What I am saying is to many times people hang the degree above the calling. I can go to a fancy college get a theology degree, but if the calling of God is not in it, then that is all it is, a degree. You see that old country preacher may be able to reach some that an educated man can’t. That educated preacher can reach other that the country preach can’t. They both have to be called and let the spirit of God lead them through the word. So, don’t just look at a man of where he went to college but instead listen and hear the wisdom God has given him, because a called preacher follows God and not a curriculum.
