Stop Listening To Fools

Ecclesiastes 7:5-6

5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
6 For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.

In life we all have made mistakes. There where always 2 types of people around, those who laughed and told us it’s okay no one cares, and then those that told us to get our act together. A fool will act like you have nothing done wrong, but the wise will rebuke the action. It’s like that cool uncle/aunt you may have had growing up. They would let you by with anything. Your parents, if there where like mine, was the opposite. They would watch you like like hawk and certain things was not a laughing matter. When you grew and matured you begin to realize all the foolish things they let you by with was actually wrong. You begin to fall back to the chastising of your parents and take thier wisdom. That is what this means. The people who are wise don’t want you to fail. They want you to succeed. A fool does not care. They lack wisdom. That is why God wants to listen when we are chastised by the wise and not when we are praised by the fool. So stop listening to fools when they tell you it’s okay to sin as long as you repent, and listen to the wise when they put you in your place and tell you to get it together.
