Gensis 18:13-15
13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
I remember as a teenager I developed an attitude. My mother or father would tell me to do something and I would mutter something so low that they couldn’t hear it. My back would be turned and everything, but still before I could take a step I would hear, “that’s fine son, you want to mumble that, then your grounded.” It always took me by surprise and I would have to stand there for a minute to realize what just happened. Think of how Sarah felt when they knew she laughed within. She wasn’t setting with them and did not laugh out loud, she laughed within and was called out on it. She thought yea right there is no way I am carrying a child. We are all guilty of hearing a preacher tell us God can and will bless us and thinking, yea right. I will admit when my wife and I were having trouble starting a family, many would tell me God will bless you with children. I always thought, yea right that’s never going to happen. Just like Sarah I had to repent for doubting God. You see nothing is to great for God to do. He is God. So before you laugh and think it can’t happen, realize if he said he will do it, than it will happen. Don’t doubt what he can do. Only be prepared to recieve his blessings.
