Created In His Image

Gensis 1:26-27

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

This one is kind of going to get a little straight forward When you think of things like racism, prejudice, and hate that some have toward people just because they have a different ethnic background, it burdens you down. How can so many feel this way. What is worse is when we see it in people claiming to be Christians, and I say claiming because you can’t be a follower of Christ and be that way. It breaks my heart, and to be honest it makes me angry. Gensis says that he made us all in his image. He did not say let’s make this group in our image or that group, he said let us make man in our image. So if you look at someone different because they look different than you, and claim you are a follower of Christ than you may want to pick up a Bible and read it. He never gave us permission to treat people different. My dad preaches a message and he says, “it doesn’t matter if your white, black, yellow, red, brown, purple, or polka dotted we are all God’s children.” He is right, we are all God’s beautiful creation. So I will end with this, if you have hate in your heart because someone looks different, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, find you a place to pray and leave that hate thier and learn to love everyone no matter what they look like.
