In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
I know everyone knows the story of creation, but today I found myself stuck on this verse. He just simply said let there be light and it had to obey. It occurred to me of how many times I thought what I was facing was impossible, that nothing would ever help. It never occurred to me that God was so powerful he spoke everything into existence. He didn’t have to come up with a complex math equation or build a sophisticated machine, all he had to do was speak. His voice and the words that proceed out have the power to start and stop time. As I sat back and thought I couldnt even imagine how that could be possible. It is amazing to think of. Now I realize that God spoke creation into existence, nothing is impossible. I encourage you to think on this one passage and let it sink in, God spoke and creation began.
