Don’t Be Foolish

Psalms 53:1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

There is a story about a teacher telling there class God does not exist because we cannot see him. A student tells the teacher that they must not have a brain because he could not see it. When you set back and think of people who say God is a fictional character, you realize they have not stopped and looked around them. I know there is evil in the world, but when you just look you will see God’s beauty. Listen to a new born cry, watch a thunderstorm, or just set on a boat in peace. In these moments you feel God’s presence. It is sad that some have become so foolish that they cannot feel him all around us. What is even worse is the fact that so many Christians make people question if God truly exist. We do not show his love anymore. I have watch preachers stand on TV and beg for money for a prayer. You do not have to pay for someone to pray for you. I see churches push some away because they don’t like the way they look and dress or because they think it puts a bad image on the church. Why does this have anything to do with the fool saying there is no God? It has everything to do with it. If people can no longer see God in the churches, then where would they see him? If they can’t feel him when a group claiming to be Christians come by, then who can they turn to? If all they see is the ones who are supposed to be blessed begging for money, than why would they want anything to do with us? The truth is Christians have lost thier way and are driving the fool farther into foolishness. We are supposed to be a light to the world. Instead of just trying to tell people of God let us show them his presence. In that the fool can no longer say, “there is no God,” and will accept his Grace.
