Let Us Turn Back To God

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land

Here lately I keep hearing people say we have to pray for our country, but yet either they don’t pray or they keep living in sin. I have seen this Bible verse posted all over social media. They use the verse and say we have to pray for America. The question is are they living the whole verse? Are they turning from thier wicked ways? It just like people who want to lose wieght or get in shape. They will either talk about it all the time, they might get a gym membership and never go,, or they start working out but you still see them eating fast food 3 times a day. Very rarely someone dives in, hits the gym and changes thier diet.What the majority is doing is either just talking about it or they half do it. You have to commit yourself to it. I would say, ” I hate to be the one to tell you,” but I’m actually happy to tell you, with this verse thier is no half doing it. First we have to turn from our sinful ways. Ask God for forgiveness and stop wondering into sin. Then we have to humble ourselves and pray. I mean truly pray and seek God. We have to feel the burden of the lost and sick. That means for the drug addict, the prostitute, and even our countries leaders, yes even them. We have to pray to God for our lands healing. If we can do just this one verse, then God will uphold his promise and heal our land. If not us then who?
