Matthew 6:33-34
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
As Christians our first thought should be on God, but we instead wake up and think of work, if we need to pay bills, or if we need to go the the store. God is often the farthest thing from our minds. As our day goes we keep putting things ahead of him and begin to stress. Once that happens we completely forget about God and while we lie I’m bed we think of what all needs to be done the next day. We never stopped and sought God. Our morning should start off with God. We should wake up and our first thought should be on him. If you wake up and just say, “thank you God for another day,” your whole day will change. Then pick up your Bible and read a little. You see, we seek the kingdom by studying and praying. Get used to doing it every morning. You will still have worries and cares, but they will come and pass. In the end the only thing that will always remain is God.
