Today I thought of the day the towers fell. I was 9 and didn’t understand what was really happening, but as I grew up I realize what had truly happened. It was the reason I joined the service at 18. We must always remember that day, because on September 12, 2001 we were not divided. It didn’t matter if you was black or white, we were united. I pray that we remember that unity and strive to be there. So take time and remember the men and women who died in those towers, the first responders who rushed in, and the military who went to bring justice.
