Pray For Your Enemies

Matthew 5:44

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Most of us hate our enemies. We would rather see them suffer than to help them. If someone does us wrong and we see them broke down we drive pass them and laugh. This is not what Chist wanted us to do, he wanted us to stop and help them. He told us to pray for them that use us, not to seek revenge. I have heard many people who claim to be Christians say, “I will get them back.” What will that accomplish. All revenge does is stoke the flames. Instead pray for them. Ask God to humble thier hearts and to give you the wisdom to reach them. In my life, many have done me wrong. People have made fun of me, stole from me, and talked about me behind my back. It took me years to realize that there is nothing I can do to make us even. However, I can go and pray for them. If someone has done you wrong, I challenge you to take 5 minutes out of your day and pray for them. Do not pray thier brakes go out, I mean truly pray for them. When you can do that, God will intervene and that is when everything will change.
