Fear is Nothing to God

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Have you ever experienced fear? Now, I’m not talking about being startled by a friend. I am talking about true fear. Fear that grabs you and takes your breath away. Fear that makes you feel like there is no way out. I have felt it. It is debilitating. Here is the thing, we don’t have to stay in that state of mind. Fear is not of God. Fear is of the adversary. He will use any situation to make you feel fear and confuse you. You will feel alone and abandoned with no way out. It is horrifying. but God did not give us fear, nor does he confuse us. What God does is give us a sound mind. That means our first step when we are afraid is to turn to God. Let him take control and guide you. Sometimes we have the power to overcome fear ourselves by just moving through it. Other times we have to lean on God and let him carry us. In both situations he gives us power that is greater than the adversary. Once we are out of the state of being afraid, God will then wrap us in his love to where fear cannot reach us and let us know he is in control. By the end the devil and fear are defeated and the battle is won..So Do not be afraid and know we are given the power over fear.
