Romans 13:11-12
11And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light
In the middle of the night, my one year old decided decided to wake up, so my wife laid him in bed with us. When my alarm went off for i hit snooze, and roller back over. When it went off again, I felt a small hand shove my face and open my eyes to my child, staring into them. So I took the hint and got up. He rolled back over and went back to sleep. Then itnhit me, why are we not taking the hint from God. Why are we still laying in our spiritual beds, trying to catch that few more minutes of being lazy. God wants us up. He is ringing the alarm clock, but yet we keep hitting the snooze button. Just like I had to get up and change into my work clothes, Christians need to get up, dust off their armour, and get ready for the work God has called us into. The sun is rising, and it is time to wake up and get back to work.
