Jonah 1:3
3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
Jonah was being like most Christians and trying to play hide and seek with God. He thought if he could hide long enough He would give up and Jonah would win. He found out he was wrong. You see there is no hide and seek with God. He is calling your name. If you continue to hide from his calling you will lose. If it is the call for salvation, I’m sorry but it’s either salvation or eternal torment. If it is for the work he has called you unto, he will get you to work, even if he has to bring you to your knees. Stop trying to play hide and seek with God. He already knows exactly where you are at.
