1 Corinthians 12:20-21
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
Today I listened to a song that spoke of a city on a hill and how each person in that city helped the others be what they needed to be. However, they turned on one another and went their separate ways and the city failed. The song ends with saying that God is still searching for the city shining on a hill. It made me think of the church and how each one of us compliment each other. The singers can get things going with one song, but there are people who set there and complain about why they had to sing. The people who say amen will give the preacher encouragement, and people will set and wish they would stop saying it. The people who pray can help touch the thrown room of heaven, but others will whisper they shouldn’t be praying for a certain person. We are supposed to be the city on the hill. We are supposed to be the light shining to a lost and dieing world. So instead of turning on one another, come back together and compliment one another. Become that lighthouse that warns of the dangers in sin. Become that church that is there for one another. Everyone of us make up the body. So let’s work together.
