James 1:3-4
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
We all have waited on a package we have ordered. We want it as soon as we order it. We don’t want to wait. We will check the delivery status online and get upset if it gets postponed. We do the same thing when we are waiting on an answer from God. We want him to answer our prayers as soon as we pray them. We do this because we lack patience. We lack it because we focus more on our wants than our needs. All we need is God. He will answer our prayers on his time. I learned the hard way in life that you can get upset and want your prayers answered as soon as possible, but that does not mean it is going to happen. Just like the package coming through the mail, getting upset does not make it arrive any faster. We must have patience with God. He knows what is best.
