Ezra 4:4-5
4 Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building,
5 And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.
Israel’s enemies begin to see that they where rebuilding. They knew not to fight them, so they began to work to distract them. That is how some people will do. They know that there is no way to stop you from working for God, so they instead focus on stalling your progress. The enemy knows that by stalling us he can stop us from reaching more souls. Stop listening to those that try to side track you. Focus on the task at hand and remember that not everyone that reaches out a hand is trying to help you. They may be trying to push you back under. I’m not saying do not accept help. I’m not saying to cast these people to the side. What I am saying is pray for them and keep doing your work for God and do not stall.
