Getting Older

John 21:18

18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

Now by no mean am I old, but I realize I am no longer young either. I am still at that age that I can go from place to place preaching. The day will come when I become old and tired. The day that my children that I buckle into my truck, help me into the passenger seat. It is closer to some than it is to others. When those days come, we will no longer be able to do the work for God we do now. I pray those that those we raise pick up where we left off. I pray they become the young men and women with a hunger for God. I pray my children take one thing from thier daddy. That is my love for the word and God. So, be prepared for the day that we have to step aside and let them take over.
