Be A Good Dad

Ephesians 6:4

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

I have seen fathers who pester and pick at their children until the child becomes angry. They think it is funny until the child acts out, then they punish the child. Here is a great idea. How about you fathers who do this grow up and be an adult. Stop pushing your kid to anger then trying to punish them for it. It is not funny to make a child mad just for the reason of laughing at them. What we as fathers are supposed to do is nurture thier understanding of the Bible, but how can we do this if we push them to anger. Do not call them stupid when they do not understand something, nor mock them when they struggle with things. Instead, encourage them to do better. Teach them to learn more. They are watching you. They need us to be loving and patient just as Christ is with us at times. He does not mock us and put us down when we mess up. He picks us up and helps us learn in order to move forward. Let’s do the same for our children.
