John 19:14-15
14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
Rome had ruled over Jerusalem for so long that the jews no longer cared that the King they had prayed for stood before them. Their promise messiah had come. They had gotten used to the controlling power telling them what they could and could not do. Their priest gained money for bowing down to Caesar. They kept a firm grip on everyone this way. It was so bad that they turned on the Son of God. Today, to many have fallen down before the ruling powers and follow thier rules and laws over the word of God. We will sacrifice the truth to please people and make them feel good. If we stand strong, we are mocked and canceled. We serve the King of Kings. We do not have to bow to no man or kingdom he has created. Get out from under Caesar’s boot and stand up for our King. It is time we get back to serving the King of Kings. It doesn’t matter what law man passes, God’s word does not change.
