Christ Loved Us First

1 John 4:19

19  We love him, because he first loved us.

Think of your parents showing you love when you were first born. In reality you did not know who they where, but you bonded with them because they loved you. They fed you, clothed you, and cared for you. That made you love them. Christ loved us so much he died for us. Now before we accepted him as our saviour, no one can say they loved him. However, he loved each and everyone of us from the beginning. Even when we were in sin, he loved us and wanted to bring us into the family. Once we did, we found a love like no other. He still fills that way about the other sinners. He loves them and wants to give them eternal life. His love is unfathomable. It was his love that made us love him.
