Matthew 6:7-8
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Jesus gave us the guidance on how to pray. He told us that God already knows what we need and that we don’t need to repeat ourselves. I am so thankful that with God I don’t have to beat around the bush nor do I have to drop hints. All I have to do is pray and tell him exactly what I need. Now do I always get the answer I was wanting? Nope, but there is always a reason for it. So when you pray be upfront with God. Let him know what you need. If it is to have a loved one healed, just let him know who they are and what they need healed of. If it is for financial help, tell him you need a blessing because your pockets are empty. If it is to intervene in a troubling situation, let him know you need peace and guidance. God already knows our thoughts and maybe he is just waiting on us to tell him.
