A Powerful Name

Isaiah 59:19

19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

As soon as I read this verse I thought of the Lion King, where the hyenas keep saying Mufasa and shaking. They knew the lions might, but still tried to take out his child. That is our enemy. He waits til we are not focusing on God and he attacks us. He gets us distracted and trys to tear us down. Now we usually try to fight him ourself and our roar is nothing to him. He laughs at it just like the hyenas did in that child’s movie, but when we say Jesus I need help, that is when that mighty roar tears through the heavens and the enemy trembles. The name of our lord and savior is so powerful that nothing can stand against it. Just the sound of his name will strike fear in the enemy. So just imagine what happens when speaks. Now unlike mufasa, the enemy will never defeat our king. So the next time you are under attack call on the name of your king and watch the enemy run away.
