4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Today I was working on my truck. I couldn’t help but think of a few years ago, I had a different truck that was payed for. Now this truck wasn’t lifted nor was it as nice as the one I have now. I thought of how my brother showed me the truck I have now and I used to say it’s his fault he pushed me to buy it. The truth is I would not of bought if I didn’t want to. You see Adam and Eve in the garden and most say it was the serpents fault. Did the serpent make them eat the fruit? He did place the thought in thier minds, but they made the choice because they wanted to. Just like me with the truck, my brother put the thought in my mind, but I wanted to buy it. It is the same with each and every single one of us who mess up and sin. The thought can only be placed in our head. At the end of the day we give into sin because we want to. You may do a little sin at first, but before you know you are eye ball deep in it. Just because we are tempted does not mean we have to commit the sin. We have to become stronger than sin. We have to want God more than the world and stop saying the devil made me do it. He may tempt you, but he did not twist your arm.
