2 Samuel 11:15
And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
David was one of the greatest kings of Israel. He was loved by God and loved God. He was said to be after God’s own heart. However, David was far from perfect. He did some bad things. He had his friend killed to take his wife, yet God still loved him. He did not cast him to the side. David did pay a price for his transgressions, but God still loved him. Remember that when you think God does not love you. A man after God’s own heart can mess up as bad as David did and God still love him, he still loves you. If he did not love you he would not want you to be his child. He knows that you are going to mess up and fall down. But if you get up and continue to seek him, he will be right there for you.
