Get Out Of The Driver’s Seat

Romans 13:1

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Today while going on a family trip, my wife kept telling me how to drive. I wanted to tell her she could drive her way and I will drive my way. Then it occurred to me that this is how some Christians are with God. They want him to set in the passenger seat and stay quiet until the need him. What if they stopped trying to be in control and let God take the steering wheel? Life would be so much easier. All Christians have to do is just give up control and let God be the driver. You don’t have to worry about making the wrong choices if God is directing your path. I encourage each Christian to get out of the driver seat and let God drive.
