Matthew 5:13
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
I always found this verse hard to understand because I have never known for salt to lose its savour. So, I begin to look it up and there is a way for it to happen. It has impurities or it becomes watered down. If you are trying to be a watered down Christian, you do not hold that strong savour that you need. If you have impurities in your life then you begin to stray back out into the world. We have to be pure and undefiled before God. We can’t water down our faith or let impurities into our lives. We have to keep our flavor so that we are never called useless.
