Luke 14:22-23
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
Sunday I was invited to church with a good friend of mine. He had been asking me to go with him for a while, so I finally decided to go. Everyone welcomed me in as if I had always went there. It was nice. As the service went on, I realized a few seat were left empty. I begin to think of how if they were full, would they have let me in? The answer is yes. I believe that they would have people standing up around the wall if it meant the kingdom of God was growing. It was then I realized how many people have been asked to fill those seats? Had the churches with empty seats invited people or had they just let them slip away? This church I know invites people because I have watched it members do it with a happy heart. This is how we should be. We should be compelling the sinner to come to church with us. We should be inviting them and then living a Christian life before them. So, I urge you compel the sinner to come to church because if you never ask they may never know where you go.
