Romans 7:19-21
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
We all have great intentions. We all have the intention to serve God without making a mistake. We all plan to use our voices for the kingdom of heaven. We all plan to do nothing but good. However, as soon as we get started we find that it is nearly impossible. We find that we stumble and fall. That is because no matter how good we are, the enemy knows what we struggle with and how to use it. Think of it. How many times have you been trying to talk about the word of God and someone walk up and start telling a vulgar joke? No matter how hard you try you end up turning that conversation away from God. It is that easy for the enemy to pull our attention from God. We have to learn that evil is always present. We have to push through and ignore the very thing that is distracting us from our work. By doing this, our intentions become actions and works. With works and actions, people see us for people who do more than just talk about God. They stop seeing us for the people who just talk about the good we would do.
