Out Of The Will Of God

Judges 3:7

7 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.

They had been brought out of Egypt, been fed in the wilderness, and saw cities fall to them because of thier God. Everything was going great. They knew all they had to do was continue to serve God to reap the blessings. It was easy, but for some reason they turned to another god. Why would they do such a thing? Well, have you ever been serving God to your fullest then out of no where something so little will entice you to back up on God? We all have hit those places in our lives when God has put us on the mountain top, we are radiant with his spirit, and then we climb down from the mountain back into hard times. We start making excuses not to study his word, we don’t go to church anymore, and before we know it God is the furthest thing from our mind. Then trouble hits and we wonder why God is letting this happen or why is he doing this to us. The thing is, he isn’t, we are. We are like the children of Isreal and have walked away from God and he will remove his protection to get our attention. That is when we have to make our way back up the mountain. Now I am not saying being a Christian is easy in the first place. We get mocked, made fun of, and our beliefs are always being challenged. However if we stay in the will of God then he can guide us through the hard times. We need to stay close to God at all times. That way when things get bad we don’t have to make our way back to him before he can guide us.
