Grow A Back Bone

Acts 7:56-60

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep

We used to stand tall on our beliefs, we used to speak nothing but the truth, and we used to refuse to back down on God’s word. What happened? Here we see a man of God standing so strong in his belief even when people was killing him he refused to back down. Stephen would rather die that turn on Christ. I have seen so many Christians back up to the point that they are more afraid of offending people than spreading God’s word. To be honest I am tired of it. It is time the men and women of God get a back bone and stand against the enemy. Will we be persecuted? Yep, we sure will. You will be told that you are wrong because Jesus is accepting. Jesus never said sin was no longer sin. He said to deny yourself and follow him. It is time we take a stand on our beliefs and be more like Stephen.
