God’s Plan Will Be Done

1 Samuel 9:12-13

12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

Saul had disobeyed God so Samuel, the profit, was sent to anoint the next king, David. The thing people seem to forget is that God was using these kings to build his nation. He could have called anyone. He called Saul, and for a bit, he followed and obeyed God. However, when he disobeyed he called another to do the same task. God may be telling you today something. It might be to pray for someone or maybe just to testify to someone that needs to hear what God has brought you through. When we listen and obey we recieve blessings. If we do not, no matter how much you think God needs you because he doesn’t, he will send someone else to do the same calling and they get the blessing. Just like David and Saul. David would be known as one of the mightiest kings of Israel, and Saul, though he was the first king, will always go down as the guy who died at the enemies hand and failed to obey God. You have to realize God’s will will be done, with or without you. I would much rather obey and be blessed.
