You All Need Jesus

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house

Ever hear that saying, “you all need Jesus.” It is said whenever someone says something vulgar or someone does something that people think to themselves how crazy and out of touch with consequences that person must have been to do such a thing. We see people say it about politicians, no matter what side of the aisle they set on. People say it about a loved one who may be getting arrested for the fourth or fifth time. They really say it about a friend or family member who is going through yet another divorce. I wonder if they realize how true a statement it is.
You see we watch the news and all we see is the riots and the left versus right. We that sin is more acceptable to the world than the love of Christ. So, whether we say it or think it every Christian know, “you all need Jesus”, and it is so true. Without Jesus you have greed, you have lust, envy, hatred in your heart, and evil runs rampant through the world. Without Jesus we begin to see the breakdown of the moral compass. Men stop being husbands and fathers as God has laid them out to be. Women stop being the loving mothers and carrying wives that God intended for. The husband and wife begin to argue, and we see a family get torn apart by the world.
Jesus is the one who speaks to the politician’s heart and leads them to follow the word of God and not the wants of the world. Jesus can take a corrupt government and make it transparent to the people it serves. Without him we see the divide we see today. The fighting and finger pointing all stims from the fact that they need Jesus. I don’t care what party they claim they all need Jesus.
At times I find myself thinking about how everyone says that they need the newest truck, the biggest home, or even a higher paying job whenever they have everything that I just mentioned and all they want is to have the newest and the best of everything. They are so envious of everyone else. They cannot stand it when they feel someone is doing better than them. They never stop to think of how God has blessed them. They constantly want more when all they really need is Jesus. If they kept their eyes on him and thank him for his blessing, they would learn to love what he has given them. To be honest he blessed more than we deserve when he gave his life for our salvation.
You all need Jesus, is thrown around as a joke allot of the time, but Jesus is the best thing you can offer the people without him. He is the firm foundation that we are built on. Jesus is the solution to the sin in the world, the solution to the corruption in the government, the homes falling apart, and the emptiness you feel when you lay your head down at night.
So instead of just saying that phrase start paying that people find Jesus. We need to start portraying Jesus in our daily lives that when someone crosses our path, we don’t tell them that the need him, we show them by our walk that they do. We show them a different path away from the sin and evil of the world so that they can feel his embrace. We let them see what Jesus has given us, and then instead of saying the need Jesus we can help them find and accept him.
